Crystal Collaboration Features
Crystal's easy to use, intuitive wireless tablet laptops allow delegates to actively share ideas, questions and comments in real time. Suited for audiences of between 30-1,000 delegates, they provide a permanent record of all ideas contributed.
Participant comments are displayed on the main screen, with event branding, and provide immediate feedback and greater insight into the minds of the delegates.
More features and benefits can be found below:
1. Q/A
Crystal Tablets allow delegates to submit questions during presentations. These are entered via an input window and transmitted to a central point, enabling the meeting host to decide which questions to display on the main screen.
The selected responses can be shown on the main screen immediately - or at other times during the event, to suit the needs of the meeting.
Questions can be submitted throughout the day, to form the framework of closing Q&A sessions.
Meeting hosts can edit submissions before they are displayed on the main screen.

Questions can also be collected at the end of a presentation. Delegates are given several minutes to input. The questions can appear live on the main screen and on delegate tablets stimulating further ideas and discussion in the group. The speaker/host has a separate wireless tablet on stage which is used to review delegate inputs live and to choose which questions to address.
If time permits, these can be themed by the speaker/host with the assistance of a Crystal operator.

Crystal will customise the main display screen to carry your event’s branding. Points being addressed can be highlighted for the benefit of the audience and, for long lists the ideas are searchable.
2. Brainstorming Session
Delegates working in groups can respond to the facilitator’s question, using Crystal Tablets to capture their ideas and comments.
Emerging themes can be identified and inputs displayed under category headings.
Brainstorming sessions can also be structured: delegates can work on a number of topics concurrently.
Event branding can be displayed on the main screen to ensure consistency with the rest of the meeting content.
3. Table Syndicates
Groups can also work as table syndicates, with all of their responses to a single question shown in one place. Or different questions can be allocated to different groups, allowing more topics to be covered in a shorter space of time.
All responses are received at the main control desk. The facilitator can discuss responses from a selected number of groups and encourage the rest of the tables to add further points of difference. This prompts debate and discussion, enabling all delegates to contribute.

While the table syndicates are brainstorming, the Tablet laptops act as electronic flipcharts. Each table group only sees its own inputs.
Inputs from all syndicate groups are captured electronically and can be viewed in one place. This means that Crystal technology removes the need for hand-written notes or flip-charts. Delegate comments are already stored as text for rapid post-event reporting.
4. Surveys
Tablets can be used to collect survey data. Delegates sharing Tablets can agree a collective response to save time. Or they can each use a Tablet to produce a greater number of individual responses. Delegates can work at their own pace through a series of questions rather than having to work in-step with the rest of the audience.
Results can be shown immediately after the vote, as an event-branded PowerPoint presentation or they can be collected for later analysis.
Tablets are used sparingly for voting, as they are typically shared between delegates and therefore best for discussion and qualitative feedback. Where events require multiple voting we recommend use of voting keypads as well as Tablet laptops.
